The independent family run 33-acre park is a mixture of touring pitches, privately owned holiday caravans, pods and lodges spread out amongst wildflower meadows, grasslands, lawns, ponds and woodland.

Spread out over 33-acres, Smytham Holiday Park comprises of 88 static holiday caravan pitches, 97 touring pitches, 3 pods and 3 lodges. At Smytham you are welcome to explore the 5 ponds in the woodland walk which leads to the popular Tarka Trail, a 33-mile cycle and walkway which gains its name from the famous Tarka The Otter. The 3-acre dog exercise paddock means there’s plenty of space for your four-legged friends to run around and the dog wash means they can easily be cleaned off after their adventures.
On site there is a games room featuring table football, table tennis, air hockey and pool tables along with an outdoor play area to keep little ones entertained. The heated swimming pool and toddler pool along with the sun terrace provides options for soaking up the sun as well as on your private deckings or patios.
Smythies’ Bar and the small onsite shop open seasonally meaning socialising with other guests is easy and when needing essentials there is no need to leave the site.
The local town of Great Torrington is located a short 3-mile drive away and features many cafes and independent shops in the traditional town square. Visit the museum for free to take in information about the area which is steeped in history, visit local attractions such as Dartington Crystal or walk the 265 acres of Great Torrington Common whilst enjoying a clotted cream ice cream from the local ice cream van.
Beaches in North Devon and North Cornwall are easy to reach with the closest being approximately 10 miles journey away. Many of our beaches are dog friendly year-round and are part of a World Surfing Reserve. Our nearest beach of Westward Ho! Is also a Blue Flag Award Beach.
Dartmoor and Exmoor are close by and exploring the North Devon Biosphere Reserve, in which we are located and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that is our local coastline means that there are many beautiful views to take in.
