You may hear people mentioning terms such as EN and BS standards to you when it comes to looking for your perfect holiday home or lodge – we’ve detailed what these mean below, but you can be assured that all Willerby products exceed the requirements to ensure you have a quality product. You will need to refer to your Park’s licence and associated planning conditions when selecting either of these specification versions of any Willerby model.
EN 1647
EN 1647 is the European industry wide regulation for the manufacture of holiday homes. The specification means that your home should be suitable for seasonal or holiday accommodation, yet not as a permanent residence.
GreEN Standard
Holiday homes market leader Willerby is introducing a new, ground-breaking standard specification for its models to cut their carbon emissions, make them more energy efficient and cheaper to run. Willerby is the first UK holiday homes manufacturer to introduce any kind of sustainability standard and the only one to offer a green build specification across the board.
BS 3632 (2015)
BS 3632 (2015) is for those who want to live in their holiday accommodation all year round (residential). It means it is made more suitable for year round living, including safety, acoustic and thermal insulation, gas central heating, thermal performance double glazing and enhanced ventilation.
European Specification
All Willerby models can be built to European specification, so for those who wish to enjoy their leisure time aboard, there’s a wide range of holiday homes to choose from.
